Why We Exist
AJMA was founded in the wake of October 7, 2023, in response to rising antisemitism across medical schools and healthcare institutions nationwide. What began as an urgent response has grown into the country's only national organization built specifically for Jewish healthcare professionals — a home that, until 2023, simply didn't exist.
Membership dues are what make that possible. They fund advocacy staff, chapter programming, mentorship infrastructure, and the reporting systems members rely on — all as part of a 501(c)(3) nonprofit built entirely around this community.
To me, being a physician means caring for the safety, welfare, and dignity of all people - including my own: the Jewish people. Thank you for standing with us.
