We want to hear from you! If you have experienced an incident of antisemitism please share as many details with us as you can and we will determine the best way to respond. AJMA advocates to address contemporary issues affecting our members and society, including recently rising incidents of antisemitism and anti-Zionism that impact the workplace and patient care. We leverage our unified voice to stand strongly with Israel, to promote Jewish values and ethics in medicine, and to combat antisemitism within the medical community.
Note: In accordance with AJMA’s Response Arm Policy, for the AJMA to respond, the incident(s) must occur within the realm of medicine.
Incidents
Incidents That Warrant AJMA’s Attention
1. Specific incidents of violence, intimidation, or “cancel”
Violence

Allowing an unsafe environment for Jews and Israelis

Inviting overt antisemitic speakers.

Not enforcing rules, regulations, or policies with respect to protests.
Institutional Issues

Jewish healthcare workers or students unfairly disciplined.

Healthcare workers or students posting antisemitic posts (classic tropes and more) and/or anti-Zionist posts (threaten Zionists, Israelis, or Israel’s existence).
Healthcare Workers
1. Individuals that deny Israel’s right to exist or attempt to “define” Jews or Judaism.
2. Individuals that present dangerous false narratives and anti-Zionist tropes.
Anti-Israel Hate
Communication
May include letters to administrators to report incidents, requests/demands for action, or email campaigns.
Legal Action
May include educating members on their legal rights or referrals to legal counsel, including through many partner organizations.
Appeals
May include advocacy with legislators and government officials (not lobbying), or appeals to sponsors or donors.
Action
May include advising healthcare workers or trainees on effective actions or responses and leveraging AJMA members to act locally.

Report a case using the form below to the American Jewish Medical Association (“AJMA,” “us,” or “we”). AJMA is gathering this data strictly for the purpose of informing the development of its educational and advocacy resources and agendas.
